What Actually Gets You Free Play Here
There is no single magic promo code that you say at the entrance or type into a form. That is the first useful detail to keep in mind. Rideau Carleton Casino runs all regular promotions through Unity by Hard Rock, the in-house loyalty program that tracks your play and then distributes credits based on activity, membership level, and whatever campaigns are active at the time. If a code is involved at all, it usually gets sent to you - you do not go out hunting for it.
For new players, the clearest starting point is the New Members Play up to $200 on Us offer. You enroll in Unity by Hard Rock, then play slots on the same calendar day you sign up. If that first slot session ends in losses, those losses - up to a maximum of $200 CAD - are credited back as Free Slot Play. The refund does not come all at once: it is split into two equal parts, each one auto-loaded to your Unity account within about 7 to 10 days. You then use those two halves on two different future visits. It is fairly straightforward, but there is one catch: you must actually play slots on the day you join, so do not register and walk out thinking the benefit will trigger later.
The Buddy Bonus is set up in another way. An existing Unity member who brings in a friend to enroll receives $20 in Free Play for the referral. The friend who signs up via that referral path can receive up to $25 in Free Play. Both pieces of Free Play sit on each person’s Unity card and only become usable when you insert the card and play on the floor. No carded play, no activation.
Fans of the Ottawa Senators who hold a Unity membership can also access discount codes for home game tickets. The exact code changes from game to game and gets distributed through the Senators partner program, so it is not a static word you can memorize. Members usually find it either through their Unity account details or by speaking with staff at the promotions desk when they are already at the property.
| Promotion | Who Qualifies | Credit Amount |

| Buddy Bonus - Referrer | Existing Unity member | $20 Free Play |
| Buddy Bonus - New Member | Friend who signs up via referral | Up to $25 Free Play |
| Ottawa Senators Discount | Active Unity members | Variable by game |
| BounceBack Free Play | All carded Unity members | Based on each visit’s play |
How to Actually Claim It
Pretty much every offer here runs through one small thing: the Unity card. Walk-in guests who never enroll miss almost all of the regular promos, so getting a card is always step one. Enrollment is only on-site at 4837 Albion Road in Ottawa, not online.
To get set up for Unity and those Free Play credits:
- Go over to the Unity by Hard Rock enrollment desk once you arrive at the casino.
- Bring a valid government-issued photo ID; they will not complete registration without it.
- The staff prints your Unity card and gives you your member number - worth jotting down or saving on your phone.
- If you want the New Members Play up to $200 offer, make sure you head to the slot machines and play that same day. This same-day part is what actually qualifies your losses.
- After 7 to 10 days, check your Unity account balance or just ask at the promotions desk to confirm when the Free Play has been added.
- On your next visit, insert your Unity card into any eligible slot machine, then redeem the first half of the Free Slot Play.
- Come back again and use the remaining balance before the expiry date. There is a cutoff, and once it passes the credit is gone.
- If you want a Senators discount code, speak with a Unity representative at the desk or review the contact details and offers linked to your Unity profile.
One very practical habit, no matter which casino or loyalty program you are using: always check expiry dates before you start planning a trip around a Free Play amount. Once a credit expires, it typically disappears from the system altogether, and staff at the desk usually cannot override that after the fact.
All Free Play issued here is non-transferable. It is locked to the Unity card that earned it during the qualifying play session. These credits do not convert into withdrawable cash; they are just playable value on the machines or as defined by the casino rules.
Goal Rush and the Jackpot Planet App
The Goal Rush Giveaway is tied directly to the Jackpot Planet app, not a stand-alone promo you access at the cage. You download the app, then link it to your existing Unity account. After that, every block of 50 spins on eligible slot machines counts as one entry into the Goal Rush draw, up to a maximum of 500 entries per person. The total prize pool is $4,500 CAD, and your personal entries are tracked through the app in the Giveaway Center.
To jump in:
- Install the Jackpot Planet app on your smartphone before or after you arrive.
- Open the app and look for the option to link or connect an existing casino account.
- Enter your Unity by Hard Rock member number when prompted so the app can sync to the right profile.
- Play eligible slots on the property with your Unity card inserted into the machine while you spin.
- Watch the Giveaway Center tab in the app; your entry count should increase as your spins add up.
- Keep playing and building entries until you approach the cap of 500 for that campaign period.
- Use the same Giveaway Center area to check draw results and see if any prizes have been assigned to your name.
Once a Goal Rush campaign finishes, the entry counters are reset before the next one starts. If you plan a visit mainly to rack up entries for this Giveaway, it is worth double-checking ahead of time that the promotion is actually active, either through the promotions page online or at the on-site desk. That way you do not end up doing 50 spins into a quiet window between two promo periods.
